Details of the Bloomfield Township Restaurant Crash
A serious Bloomfield Township restaurant crash left five people injured Thursday afternoon after a car slammed into the front of Thai Taste to Go, located on Telegraph Road near Square Lake.
Police say the crash occurred around 1:41 p.m. when a 77-year-old woman from Bloomfield Hills was driving the vehicle that struck the restaurant’s storefront, causing significant structural damage. Emergency crews from Bloomfield Township and West Bloomfield Township responded quickly to the scene.
Six people were evaluated for injuries. Five were taken to nearby hospitals, all with injuries that were described as non-life-threatening, while one person was treated at the scene and released.
Building inspectors and township officials assessed the damage to the property and temporarily closed nearby businesses until safety checks could be completed. The Bloomfield Township restaurant crash remains under investigation by local police.
