A Detroit woman, Caris Adell Wade, has been charged with reckless driving after crashing her vehicle into a home in Center Line, Michigan, on October 13, 2025. This incident left a 9-year-old girl with serious injuries, including damage to her spine, pelvis, and ribs. Wade, 20, faces charges of reckless driving causing serious impairment and failure to stop at the scene of an accident. Following her arraignment, she was given a $200,000 bond and is required to wear a GPS and alcohol tether if released.
The girl was found lying on a bedroom window after being thrown from the house during the crash. Fortunately, she is in stable condition. Wade fled the scene but was later arrested by police, and toxicology results are pending. She is set to return to court on October 22 for a probable cause conference.
