On September 7, 2025, a tragic crash occurred in Frenchtown Township near 4th Street and Bronson Street, claiming the life of 75-year-old Michael J. Procy of Monroe, Michigan. According to reports Procy was driving a 2023 Ford F-150 eastbound when his truck struck multiple stationary vehicles, veered off the road, and collided with a tree. Despite wearing a seatbelt and deploying airbags, Procy was ejected from the vehicle and succumbed to his injuries on site.
Emergency responders from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, Frenchtown Township Fire Department, and other units arrived but were unable to save him. The accident remains under investigation, and authorities are requesting public assistance with any additional information.
